Yes.. but why..?: If you like the idea of drinking the adult equivalent of baby formula, it is fine. You get almost the same nutrients at a fraction of the cost by mixing packets of Carnation Essentials with your own milk. Breast feeding is a good way to slim down & loose the extra baby weight. You really don't need to add extra unless you don't want to lose any weight.

Probably: It's still considered a category c drug which means it can be used if the benefits outweigh the risks. Most high risk pregnancy people feel that it is ok. Talk to your endocrinologist.
