Do epididymal or testicular infections lead to cancer?

Not directly: Most infections of the testicular area will not lead to cancer. They can mimic signs of cancer and appropriate clinical examination with an ultrasound and blood tests may be needed. Please note that some sexually transmitted viruses (hpv) can cause anogenital cancers in either sexes.

No...: But distinguishing orchitis, from epididymitis, from testicualr torsion can be quite difficult, and an enlrged testis from cancer could also be in that category. The highest risk of testis cancer is from an undescended testis, or an undescended testis that has been brought into the scrotum by orchiopexy.
