Try Metformin: Metformin is an Insulin receptor sensitizer, and blocks the release of sugar from the liver (via glyconeogenesis). By taking metformin, Insulin works "better, " and your pancreas is given somewhat of a "rest." it should normalize your blood sugar, HGB a1c, and lower your Insulin levels. You might also add Acarbose (a "starch blocker") to help maintain normal blood sugar.
