10 days post-op total hysterectomy; hx of reactive hypoglycemia, well controlled w/diet, a1c 5.2; i am having higher fasting& elevated glucose numbers; is this result of surgery and how long does it last?

It is not usual to have elevated glucose levels in the postoperative period. If you have had a change in your diet, it is possible that this may be contributing to your changed glucose levels. If it persists, you should speak with your surgeon or your primary care doctor. Good luck.
