Couple answers:: Patanol (olopatadine) and artificial tears can be taken together but they counteract each other so it's pointless. Patanol (olopatadine) dries out your eyes, artificial tears are supposed to wet your eyes but don't work well anyway. If u have allergies and dry eyes, try a punctum plug to help your dry eyes, which helps with contacts too. Or a mild steroid drop like Alrex will treat both. But these can't be used with contacts.

Yes: Patanol (olopatadine) is very good for itching, redness and swelling of allergies. Artificial tears are also very useful in allergies, as they wet they eye and help wash out the allergens (dusts, molds, pollens, etc.) that get into the eyes. Use the artificial tears frequently. Allergies and contact lenses do not mix well, and you would be better off wearing glasses if your eyes are really bothering you.
