Things you can do.: Don't expect medications to be the total answer. Talking therapy ranks really high. Cognitive behavioral therapy can be quite effective. Aim for daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep per night & good nutrition with 5 servings of veggies & 4 of fruit per day. Try tai chi, yoga, qi gong, progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing exercises & meditation. Don't isolate - spend time with friends & >>.

Psychotherapy & adhd: Best treatment for anxiety is psychotherapy, especially cbt. Anxiety is a normative state, and it is not feasible to "elminate" it. Find a good therapist. Use psychology today's website, go to therapist finder. In practice, many pts presenting with anxiety actually have untreated/undiagnosed adhd, with anxiety stemming from missing deadlines, getting overwhelmed. Also, assess drinking/drug use.

Bipolar: People who have bipolar // do much better when they combine psychotherapy with medication. Ask for a referral from your doctor or ask your insurance carrier for names who specialize in treating bipolar. Best wishes.
