Eye exam: Each patient needs an individualized or personalized approach to their health and in treating cataracts, the time to have surgery is when it affects your quality of life. Many practices have a questionaire about glare, daily activities to help you and your eyemd decide when the timing is right for you. As long as you can see to perform your activities, there is no rush.

Yes: PAM, BAT: Not all cataracts require surgery. If best vision is worse than 20/40 or glare is significantly affecting VA, most surgeons prefer to do surgery sooner but depends on pt's sx, risk factors, preferences; also, though no guarantees with any surgery, many patients are less dependent on or free of glasses after surgery; clear lens removal also possible in some pts; more info: eyedoc2020.blogspot.com
