Aging: Cataracts are always forming slowly in everyone who is living, and they can be accelerated by outside factors such as medicines, so when the meds are removed, the age-related portion will still be occurring.

Yes: Cataracts will continue to progress with or without medicines although the rate may slow down if the medicine is discontinued. . Prednisone is a very common cause of cataracts
