Irregular periods: Irregular periods may result from abnormalities in brain hormones from the hypothalamus/ pituitary (including from stress, wt changes, dieting, over-exercising, medications) or from problems in the ovaries and less commonly the uterus, or vagina. Pregnancy is the most common cause followed by ovary issues then hormonal issues. You need to see a gyne and have a pelvic exam & hormone level eval.
