INSECT BITE: Whatever insect bite it is, you can apply steroid cream to diminished the inflammation but see md for proper DX and rx.

Abscess: Sounds like a small abscess. A lot of folks think they are bug bites or spider bites when actually they are small infections. If really small it may be ok to pop and put antibiotic ointment on it. If larger then you will want your doctor to drain it and see if there is a larger infection. If you aren't sure you should see a doctor.
