Yes it can: It is really important to take breaks. Get up at least every hour and walk about. Do stretching exercises. Insure you are staying adequately hydrated. While at your desk- stretch your neck, arms & back. Insure your computer and chair are set up so that you have good ergonomics. Avoid those headaches. (:.
