Treatment.....: As far as the cough is concerned, it will likely resolve once the cold resolves as most colds are due to viral infections which will resolve on its own. If the cough persists after the cold is gone, bronchospasm could be part of the problem and that would require a doctor's visit since the treatment would consist of bronchodilator inhalers +/- steroid inhalers.
