Retinoid cream/gel: A form of acne--"Blackheads," are open comedones, which are blocked hair follicles and sebaceous glands with pigment. They are often inflamed. The best topical treatment is a retinoid-- they are all by prescription only in the U.S. Common names are Retin-A, Differin, (adapalene) Epiduo. See your primary care doctor and ask for a prescription-- be well!
