SCABIES: Common tx of scabies is 5% Permethrin crm. From neck to toe with attention to intense involved areas; remove 8-14 hours by bathing. Scabies cause burrows, a thin gray, red or brown line, 2-15 mm long. Sometimes burrows obscured by vesicles, pustules or bullae. Because scabietic lesions are due to hypersensitivity reaction to mite, itching and bumps sometime get worse during tx. Take some benadryl (diphenhydramine).
