Incisal edges: The edges of the biting surfaces of teeth usually have a more translucent or what you call 'clear' appearance. They have less dentin internally and are thinner thereby allowing more light to be transmitted through them, giving them that appearance. The degree and breadth of this varies from patient to patient.
