A member asked:

I just noticed a sticker on my plunger that warns of cancer and birth defect. is this true?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and No: Many chemicals we use have potential to be carcinogenic yet we use them because the risk is based more on experiments in animals than in humans. So it does not mean we should not use them. If they were definitely proven to cause cancer in humans, they are not likely to be approved for human use.
