A member asked:

Does giving birth to a child reduce the risk of cervical cancer?

No, ovarian, breast.: This reduces the risk of ovarian and breast cancer because pregnancy lowers the exposurre to endogenous estrogen by lowering the number of menstrual cycles over a woman's lifetime. Oral contraceptives also lower ovarian cancer risk, but have little or no effect on breast cancer risk.
