Urology consult: If your uncle has a cryptorchid (undescended) testis, he would do well do have it found and removed; these things turn cancerous too often to ignore though of course most guys have no trouble from them.

Undescended testis: If a 50 year old has only one palpable testis from birth, the risk of developing testis cancer at that age is quite small. Testicular seldom occurs after 40 years of age, even if one has an undescended testis. A imaging search for a testis remnant in the abdomen is generally not warranted at this age. If the tesis is palpable outside the abdomen but not in the scrotum, he should see urologist.
