Yes ! ! !: Certain medications that dentists prescribe can decrease the effectiveness of the birth control pills, making you more prone to pregnancy. If you do not disclose it, don't blame your dentist if you become pregnant.

Why it's important: Your dentist should know your entire medical history which includes all medications that you are taking. Your dentist is treating you & not just your teeth and you would be surprised how important knowing this is information is to being taken care of properly. There are many side effects, drug interactions and implications that would require more space in order to properly discuss and explain here.
