A member asked:

I started having my gallbladder removed tomorrow, is there any info that might come in handy?

Common & safe: Surgery. Follow your surgeon's directions & ask questions. Nothing to eat or drink at least 8 hr before surgery. Use pain medication sparingly after surgery. Take pain pills with a little food to avoid nausea. Use a laxative if needed for constipation after surgery. Ask your surgeon when you can shower or bathe. No heavy lifting for a few weeks. Have someone drive you to the hospital & home too.
