My fiance has anal fissure and now i wonder what i am getting into. will this affect his ability to work?

Only short term: Anal fissures are usually treatable medically and at worse case scenario with surgery.They are not severe life threatening problems if treated properly, and do not shorten life span. If he is missing work from this he needs to get proper treatment so he can return to work permanently.

No: Anal fissures are typically a minor (but very annoying problem). Most can be treated with non-surgical means - some will require a relatively minor operation. Please note: these are not sexually transmitted. They are more likely related to chronic constipation - so dietary modification is often prescribed.
