Information: The shingles shed chickenpox virus but are not as contagious.It does not enter the saliva or spread in airborne droplets.Avoiding contact with the debris should prevent the spread. The vaccine is recommended but may not stop the germ if given after exposure. A call to your pcp can reveal if the vaccine was given.It is usually given at 1 yr . Incubation runs 10-21 days.
