Just curious. 40 years old, had chicken pox as a child, why do i have to wait until i'm 50 to have the shingles vaccine? why can't i have it now?

Age 60: CDC recommends Shingles vaccine at 60. The effectiveness of all immunizations wanes with time and if you take the vaccine too early, the protection may wane by the time you need it more. Please consult this site for more info. http://www.cdc.gov/shingles/vaccination.html
