Probably.: The virus that causes shingles is the same one that causes chickenpox. The shingles vaccine in effect gives you an invisible (we call it "subclinical") case of chickenpox, in order to stimulate production of antibodies to the virus in your body. Although some dispute this, at least some people appear to be contagious for chickenpox for a week or so after receiving the vaccine.
