Big spectrum: It all depends what part of the cerebrum and brain stem are involved in the trauma and what kind of lesion was produced by the trauma: 1. A collection of blood between the brain and the skull can produce seizures, paralysis of the contralateral side, and death from compression of vital structures. A conrtusion (bruising) of the brain can also produce seizures, and paralysis but it may recover.
