A member asked:

Why do so many medications cause dry mouth and constipation?

Hydration: Many meds have significant side effects that involve decreased water blood level that produce these unplesant symptoms. It is that much more important to stay hydrated throughout the day (6-8 glasses of water). If you continue with these unpleasant symptoms even with hydration, consult your treating physician to consider any possible alternatives.

Dehydration: Most meds. Have side effects that involve reducing bodley fluids causing dry mouth and general dehydration and constipation. Acetaminophen has all this side effects. So ake sure that you are properly hydrated when taking any of this meds.
