What treatments are given for penile cancer?

Surgery: The mainstay of treatment for penile cancer is early diagnosis and then surgery. Surgery consists of removing a portion of the penis. Depending if the cancer has spread to inguinal lymph nodes, radiation and chemotherapy may be options as well.

Penile Cancer : Treatments for penile cancer vary with the stage of the lesion (how far it has spread), the location (glans, shaft) and the state of health of the patient. Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation alone, or in combination, are usually employed. A urologist can provide definitive answers.
