A member asked:

Is it possible to get your uterus removed during childbirth operation, if the person is diabetic and on insulin?

Emergencies only: We generally do not remove a uterus during a c/section unless there is a bleeding or other life threatening emergency regardless of diabetes and Insulin use. You can however, get your fallopian tubes tied at c/s if you want to end childbearing.

Yes, but: The OB doctor can do this procedure during a c-section, however, they prefer to wait until your uterus has shrunk down to its normal size to minimize bleeding and infection. If you are diabetic this is probably the best course for you.
