Unfortunately not: Calciphylaxis occurs in long term kidney failure as the name suggests it involves abnormal calcium and phosphorus metabolism . The associated wounds were once considered unhealable but that doesn't have to be the case. A good wound specialist using very cautious and gentle wound techniques can treat this type of wound the best thing for you to help is to avoid touching/bumping wounds.
