It may not: The half life of Clonazepam is up to 50 hours . If you are taking the medicine twice a day , you will feel both the benefit and its side effect . If you are overwhelmed by the drowsiness ( if the risk/benefit ratio ) is in favor of not taking it . Talk to your doctor and try to tapper and stop it

It may not go away: You need to talk to your prescriber to understand why you are on the med, at its dose that makes you drowsy, and how long it is anticipated you will need to stay on it.

Discuss w/your doc: Klonopin (clonazepam) can stay in your system a long time -- half life can be 60 hours. If taking twice a day makes you very sleepy, please call your doctor before your next appointment & tell him/her. Most psychiatrists and other physicians would want to know, so adjustments can be made. Maybe even cutting out one of the doses or decreasing your overall dose. You may not "have" to take it 2x/day, at all.
