Vertigo is not heart: Vertigo, a rotational feeling of dizziness, is not a cardiac condition. Vertigo typically indicates a problem with the inner ear semicircular canals. Vertigo can be due to a labyrinthitis, benign positional vertigo, or perhaps a more nefarious cause. Sometimes an MRI is done to rule out a tumor. Positional lightheadedness is orthostatic hypotension- common with dehydration or medications.
