A member asked:

Does using insulin shots (.6 first week then 1.2 then 1.8) reduce weight as assumed? is this dangerous? i'm not married nor pregnant just curious.thx

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not insulin: What you are describing is not Insulin but the dosage for medication used for diabetes called victoza (liraglutide). This medicine is a hormone called glp-1 and can help diabetic patients use weight. It is not approved for use for weight loss but is currently undergoing studies and eval by the fda for this this indication.
