He has asthma: Asthma is an inflammatory response in the lungs, with broncospasms (intermittent wheezing). Usually induced by viral upper resp infections. Depending on severity, may need preventative meds, and albuterol for exacerbations.

Definition...: Asthma is a disease characterized by recurrent episodes of reversible airway obstruction as well as airway inflammation. There is no cure but there are treatments to decrease exacerbations and symptoms. There can be long periods of remission between episodes but unfortunately there is no cure.
