Don't know: Is there deformity? Is the toe swollen? Red? Tender to touch? If it isn't responding to elevation, rest, cold compresses & nsaid's you may need evaluation by your podiatrist.

Have it checked out: You may have broken one of the bones. Have an x-ray to be sure, especially if there is any bruising and swelling.
