Can there be any reason to "prepare" for the death of an elderly family member or friend?

Maybe: We can try to prepare for a loved one's death, but we are never ready when it comes. The grieving process is something that we all go through. Having the assistance of a hospice involved in the process can be helpful. They can put you in touch with a support group as well.
