Treatment options.: I agree w dr. Krauser. The "go to" class of meds is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (ssri's). It is important to be able to get control over your anxiety & panic - otherwise it will have control over you. Psychotherapy can be very effective. Cognitive behavioral therapy is often used for these problems. Learning deep breathing exercises is essential. Progressive muscle relaxation works.
