Smoothing of joint.: Usually done thru a scope & using various types of equipment, the articular cartilages of the knee r smoothed to remove any of the damaged surface. The outcomes do not give u a new joint surface but do make u better. U have a damaged joint surface already so 2 preserve what u have left u will need activity modification so that u preserve what's left. It's an aid 2 treat ur pain, not a new surface.
