Keep a diary: Keep a food diary with times so you know when are you eating and what you are eating. Usually late night eating causes weight gain because you eat then go to bed not allowing yourself to burn off the calories you consumed. Usually consuming more calories then you burn. Self control is the only way to stop late night eating, but visualizing what you are consuming puts it in prospective.
