No: Good question- watch out ! antibacterial sprays kill bacteria, not viruses. Unless the product states it is an antiviral agent, or you are referring to a disinfectant, it may not kill hepatitisc or hiv.

Yes: If the antibacterial spray contains alcohol...Then yes....It will disrupt the viral protein shells. I'm assuming you mean on your hands or counter?! antibacterial sprays containing any form of antibacterial would be ineffective.
