Go to the Hospital: The risk of osteomyelitis (bone infection) is so high when you have an infected toe that this is an emergency. Amputation is very common in this scenario. You do not wait; you go get on antibiotics asap.

Infection: Sounds like cellulitis (infection). You need to have this examined and evaluated. Treatment may require I&D and antibiotics. This can spread so don't delay.
