A member asked:

I am 27y old male from india. suffering from migraine used to take vasograin. does it has any side effect. if yes please suggest some alternative.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Vasograin is ergotamine which is an older form of treatment for migraines. It can cause nausea and has been associated with constricting blood vessels which can lead to high blood pressure and stroke. Rarely when used to much it could possibly use to harderning of the tissue-fibrosis. There are newer forms of medications called triptans that still carry some of these risks but to a lesser degree.
