It is ok to take: The maximum recommended dose of vit c during pregnancy for women over the age of 19 is 2000 mgm, so it is ok to take 1000 mgm if you have been taking for long time.Higher dose than that can cause scurvy in newborn babies.But it may be a good idea in your case to discuss it with your obstetrician if it is ok in your case at your next prenatal visit.
