It depends: IT depends on when the vitamin E was taken. Studies shows a link between excess vitamin E intake, in the month prior to conception and the first 2 months of pregnancy, and birth defects (70% more likely). Specifically congenital heart defects (9 times more likely). The recommended RDA for vitamin E in pregnancy is about 18 mg/day. One study link vitamin E intake > 14.9 mg with heart defects.
