Self Harm: Try psychotherapy with a qualified mental health professional who can help you understand the reasons you hurt yourself and also help you discover alternative ways of managing your emotions. It is likely you can be helped, give yourself the chance to live a happier life and make the call. Best wishes.

Self Harming: If you're truly 22, you're legally an adult and don't need a parent's help to get yourself into therapy. If you're actually a minor, please involve your parents in this -- parents are there to help guide you. Therapy with a good psychologist can be very helpful to you. Also you can get the dialectical behavioral therapy skills workbook by mckay: http://tinyurl.Com/kvych7o a wealth of help.
