My fibromyalgia seems to be getting worse. is it progressive?

This can happen: We have lots of ways of treating fibromyalgia, including several medications such as savella, (milnacipran) lyrica, cymbalta, and exercises, stretching, acupuncture, core strengthening, stress management, sleep improvements, etc. No reason to avoid evaluation and intervention. This site has numerous knowledgable physicians to handle your problem, and hopefully your doc in tx can also help.

Not progressive: Fibro sympt may wax and wane. The stress of pain may aggravate it though.

Fibromyalgia : Fibromyalgia does get worse in many cases. It is not progressive like a, neuro degenerative disease, though, in my opinion. It is important to work with a doctor who enjoys working with fibromyalgia patients for best results. I recommend finding a functional medicine physician, integrative physician or holistic physician. Best of luck to you!
