Probably: Patients with fm will experience pain more intensely and will likely have a longer recovery time than other people. Fm is viewed as a disorder of central pain processing or heightened pain perception. Be careful about the potential to overuse narcotic analgesics. While pain can be prolonged, that doesn't mean that healing of the tissues is delayed.
