My six month old exhibits minor head lag, but can sit unassisted for 5 min and crawl. could the lag be because he wants to be on his tummy?

Head lag: The baby uses neck muscle to develop the strength to hold the head straight. The position of the baby doesn't play a role in this developmental process. The minor head lag maybe that the baby just needs a little more time for this developmental skill usually obtained by 4 to 6 months of age.
