Head lag: The baby uses neck muscle to develop the strength to hold the head straight. The position of the baby doesn't play a role in this developmental process. The minor head lag maybe that the baby just needs a little more time for this developmental skill usually obtained by 4 to 6 months of age. The other skills sitting and moving are more advanced which is great. If concerned speak with primary care.
