YES?NO: There are reports in the literature describing teratogenic effects of the ssri's (effects on the growing fetus) the evidence for causing heart problems is not conclusive yet, so it is hard to say with certainty that zoloft (sertraline) is the cause of heart defects. In any way, it is better to discuss this issue with your prescribing physician good luck and feel better.
