Can mean many things: Canker or cold sores can have many causes including viral. Most last 7-10 days and should not be touched with your fingers. If it is viral, you can spread it! many initial lesions can be treated with lasers that cut off the blood flow to the lesion and speed up healing. If you get many lesions at frequent intervals, contact your dentist. Causes can be investigated and medication may be available.
