Maybe: Canker sores can arise from multiple factors including deficiencies. The most common deficiencies associated with canker sores are: iron, folate (folic acid) and b12. See the following for more info: http://www.Ncbi.Nlm.Nih.Gov/pubmedhealth/pmh0001993/.

Not really: A lot of medications can cause canker sore in mouth, especially in females, non-smoking males and elderly patients. It is related with some change in your immune system but not necessarily immune dificiency. You need talk to you physician if you suspect you are immune deficiant.

Unrelated : Canker sores are caused by viruses. If the Remeron (mirtazapine) were at fault there should be other areas of the body that are affected as well. See your doctor for advice on how to proceed.
